Nissan Chemical Corp is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the agricultural chemicals business, functional materials business and wholesale business. The Company operates through six business segments. The Agricultural Chemicals segment provides pesticides such as herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, insecticides, plant growth regulators, as well as veterinary drug substance. The Functional Materials segment provides display materials, semiconductor materials and inorganic colloid. The Wholesales segment is involved in the wholesale of chemical products. The Chemicals segment offers basic chemicals, including melamine, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and ammonia; fine chemicals, including special epoxy, flame retardant and disinfectant. The Pharmaceutical segment provides drug substance for hypercholesterolemia. The Other segments is engaged in the provision of fertilizer, and the landscaping, transportation, plant engineering business.
