About the company

Proximar Seafood AS is a Norway-based land-based salmon farming company. Its fish farming is based on Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS)-technology. The Company is currently constructing its first production facility located at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan. The facility consists of two separate buildings, a Hatchery & Nursery where fish is raised from egg to approx. 100g and a Post Smolt Grow Out site where the fish is grown to harvest size of around 5kg. Through land-based fish farming, Proximar Seafood AS is able to produce fresh Atlantic salmon, free of medication and without impact from traditional challenges such as lice and microplastics. Proximar Seafood AS has one subsidiary, Proximar Ltd.
