About the company

Wetzel SA, formerly Metalurgica Wetzel SA, is a Brazil-based company active in the manufacture and commercialization of aluminum and iron components and parts for motor vehicles. Wetzel SA divides its business into three divisions: Aluminum, Iron and Electro-Technical. In the Aluminum division, the Company is engaged in the manufacture of aluminum parts for the automotive industry, through the process of aluminum smelting. In the Iron division, it produces various iron products for truck manufactures, farm machinery producers and manufacturers of insulators for transmission and power distribution lines. In the Electro-Technical division, the Company is active in the production and sale of aluminum and thermoplastic products for low voltage electrical installations, explosion-proof and lighting equipment. As of December 31, 2011, Wetzel SA had two subsidiaries: Foundry Engineers and Wetzel Univolt Industria de Plasticos Ltda.
