About the company

The Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Limited is an integrated and diversified commodity producer. It is engaged in the mining of manganese and iron ores in Deogiri village of Sandur taluk, Bellary District, Karnataka. It is focused on the manufacture of ferroalloys and coke located at Vyasanakere, Hospet. Its segments include Mining, Ferroalloys, and Coke and energy. Mining segment is engaged in the mining of manganese ore and iron ore, which is engaged in semi-mechanized manganese ore mining operations and fully mechanized iron ore mining operations. The Ferroalloys segment is engaged in the production of ferromanganese, silicomanganese, pig iron and ferrosilicon in its furnaces. It has two coke oven plants having a cumulative production capacity of 0.4 million tons per annum. It has two waste heat recovery boilers with a cumulative capacity of 32 megawatts. It is also focused on the manufacturing and sale of steel products, heavy ingots and intermediate products like billets.
